Jayma is currently at the 12th Annual Costumes Designer Guild Awards in LA wearing a sassy lime green dress! I love this color on her. Being the president’s wife apparently has its perks.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that First Lady Michelle Obama has invited the cast of Glee to perform at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday, April 5 — and, barring any last-minute glitches, they’re gonna do it!

Rumor has it Mrs. O and her daughters are big fans of the show. And since a White House gig is an offer that’s pretty darn hard to refuse, Glee’s producers did some lickety-split schedule rejiggering in order to honor the request.

All in all, not a bad stretch for the Glee club: Glee The Music Volume 1 just debuted at No. 1 on the UK album charts, ahead of the ubiquitous Lady Gaga!

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 11, 2010 — Following five years of perfecting their local reading and “learning to give” charity, founder Meredith Alexander has launched the M+B Class Project enabling high school students all across the country to earn community service hours by recreating the bookstore party they have been hosting locally since 2004.

“I’m so excited that our vision is becoming a reality to children nationwide. We love the idea of kids learning how great it feels to give back,” said Executive Board Chair Meredith Alexander. “Its hard to believe that less than six years ago, we invited a group of friends, with their children, to spend a day at a local bookstore hanging out and coloring book plates to give back locally, and now we’re taking it to the next level. We hope to make this a “Habitat for Humanity” for literacy and giving.”

Alexander, along with her co-chairs Heidi Lindelof and Laura Zimmerman, will mark their inaugural year of national fundraising by hosting a huge family fun day on Sunday, February 28th, 2010 at the Skirball Cultural Center. Beginning at 10am, guests are invited to participate in a special story time celebration, which includes celebrity readers, story-inspired arts & crafts, photo flipbooks and more. To help raise awareness of children’s literacy the following honorary committee members are slated to attend and participate in story time reading: Jason Biggs (“American Pie”), Will Ferrell, Jennifer Garner (“Valentine’s Day”), Dave Grohl (The Foo Fighters), Jonah Hill (“Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” “Superbad”), Dermot Mulroney (“The Wedding Date,” “Must Love Dogs”), Marlon Wayans (“Scary Movie 1, 2, 3 and 4,” “White Chicks”), Rainn Wilson (“The Office”) and Jayma Mays (“Glee”).

During Milk + Bookies, children are encouraged to “Do The Giving.” At the Skirball Cultural Center, a giant “Bookstore” will be established on-site where families can select books, inscribe them with personal messages, and donate them back using Milk + Bookies to distribute these books to local school children that do not have access to books of their own.

With a huge thanks to vampydisco on YouTube, I’ve added screen captures from Nice Girls Don’t Get the Corner Office, a 2007 pilot starring Jayma Mays and Matthew Morrison, that never got picked up. Jayma played Angela, a executive vying for VP who doesn’t quite get where she’s trying to go, because she is in fact nice (hence the title). I’ve added LQ screen captures and I’m almost through with the media archive update so clips will be up shortly!

Personally, I thought it was a very cute show and Jayma was fantastic in her central role.

Jayma attended the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards tonight looking beautiful in pink! Jayma Mays Online, your #1 and longest running online Jayma resource, would like to congratulate Glee on their win for Best Comedy Ensemble! 10 MQ from her arrival and 1 MQ from the press room have been added to the gallery with many more to come tomorrow including many more site updates!

The 19 singing, dancing members of the cast of “Glee” filled the backstage trophy area with ecstatic cheers. “Holy cow,” said Jayma Mays, who plays buttoned-up school counselor Emma Pillsbury. “Do we take it?” ”I want this one,” Matthew Morrison, who plays teacher Will Schuester, said, fixing his eyes on one of the statuettes. “You can’t. You have to sign for it,” Mays said. “This is awesome,” Morrison said, claiming – and kissing – his Actor statuette. “I’ve never kissed a guy before, but there it is.” Then Jane Lynch, who plays cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester, shouted, “we’re going to do a cast shot everybody!” And the whole cast followed her into the hallway.
